One a warm, pleasant afternoon last Friday we loaded the Cornish Wave van and headed for our surf lessons at Watergate Bay, just ten minutes drive north from our mobile base in Newquay, Cornwall.
We had two surf lessons booked and the waves were perfect! Coach Adam was in charge with Emma and Scott to assist. As the picture below shows, the guys had a great time and benefited from having a small, easy to manage group lesson, allowing them to make the most of Adam’s advice.
With the sun shining and the waves crashing, everyone was smiling. Even Cornish Wave’s mini-mascot, Molly!
Also making the most of the weather was Coach Ash and his group. A group of international final year business students from Exeter University.
We had the opportunity to meet the gang the night before as they were staying just outside Newquay, in our friend’s farm accommodation. We surprised them with a welcoming BBQ and bonfire!
Everyone was surfing for their first time and really getting into the swing of things. Both Adam and Ash commented on how everyone made the most of their introduction to surfing and were quite impressed with everyone eventually standing up!
After an afternoon well-spent it was time to say a big thanks to the lovely Scott, Emma, Brian, Maxence, Inna, Julia, Mathis and Nicolas for joining us on a great afternoon on the beach. We wish you guys all the best and hope to see you again sometime soon!
