As spring starts to show its long awaited face and the clocks jump forward. It’s also that time of year for us here at Cornish Wave that we start to gear up for another exciting season of teaching surfing here in Newquay, Cornwall. On these sunnier days in Spring I can’t help but think about all that comes with summer, the thought of long days, more opportunities to surf, taking in the Cornish sunsets, BBQ’s day after day just because its sunny, to touring the coast in the Cornish Wave van, I can’t help but get excited!
These thoughts always lead me to the same conclusion: there is nowhere I’d rather be than enjoying what Cornwall has to offer and surfing some Cornish waves with friends.
Spring Surfing Newquay
After years of escaping the British winter months for warmer climates, either on surf trips, or to work as a surf coach, I decided that this was the year I was going to stay at home and start pursuing my interests in computer technology in the form of university, although I’m studying hard I’m having a great time combining both of my passions during term time, I cant wait for the summer to begin and really make the most of what Cornwall has to offer.
It can be easy to forget how lucky we are to live in this fantastic county and I’m stoked to be able to share my surfing experience and knowledge with everyone so come join in the fun.
Here’s to a sun filled summer and hopefully it’s a cracker!
